Miller's Tumblebus is always a great party! The kids love it and I love it because they do!

I have one rule at birthday time...the cake MUST be homemade. I think there's something nostalgic about your mom always having made you a special birthday cake nobody else had.

Do you know how hard it is to find owl themed stuff....hard. So I got super crafty this year and made my own favors and treat bags. Not too shabby.

Oh yes, no better way to start your day than some yummy AM Donuts! As for her she LOVES the donut holes as you can see. This was her actual birthday so we went for a treat seeing as how the party was still a day away.

After breakfast we all decided it was time for a new spring do!

Yaya's perfect gift this year was a perfect 10 manicure from Baylee...lol.

After 3 years of wanting he finally got it! 50" Plasma!!
Now we just have to learn it...

Jaycee's fav. was the fun scented lip stuff in her stocking....how little it takes to make them happy at this age!

This was the one and only thing Baylee asked for this year. She has for the past year stood in the check out at Wal-Mart holding it and just wishing she could have it and at last she does....it was truly her perfect gift!!! Seeing the sheer happiness on their faces makes it all worth it in the long run :)

We didn't know how it was going to turn out this year. Yaya was here after about a 5 hour drive and Daddy was stuck in Snyder after not having been home all week! We were afraid that he was going to miss it this year but he surprised us all by showing up right about midnight after all!!!

This year we had a pool party for Miss Baylee. It was opening weekend at the pool and the water was quite frigid!!! They pushed through though and it was a success!

The Friday before Mother's Day my friend, Samie and I went to FW. Our favorite food is Krispy Kreme donuts
as you can see we were very happy when we found some. Then Sat. night she took me to Pete's Dueling Piano Bar which was a BLAST!! If you've never been I highly suggest it! They play song request all night and duke it out on Slam Grand Pianos. They also have drums and and electric fiddle which was awesome when it came time for "The Devil Went Down to Georgia"!!!

This was the hit of the day! These are some little butterflies that go in the tub and she has been using them as teethers since she opened em up.

This is the little prayer pal bunny that Baylee got for her so she got to give it to her. How sweet.

This was a really cute card with a mirror in it which is why she's actually paying it any attention.

Today I finally let loose and let the girls finger paint. It was our first time as I'm always too worried about the mess. Something I need to work on. So we cut loose and had a blast!! Jaycee just wanted to eat the paint. It figures. Baylee just thought it was so much fun!! I'll post pics. of the masterpieces after they dry. Jaycee ripped her's but I'll try.

Day at the Park

We spent Monday with SanDee and Sydnee at the park.

The girls had sooo much fun!! Jaycee slept for all but about 45 minutes but finally woke up to enjoy the day. It was her first time to be at the park and enjoy all that it has to offer. She's always been stuck in the stroller but she was all too thrilled about the swings.

We had our first day of gymnastics last Wednesday at Beamer's. The girls loved it!! They got to do some tumbling and the balance beam and the spring board..all in their 1st class!!

So first we have Baylee this evening playing dress up. She got a whole bunch of goodies for Christmas and is finally breaking them in. Then we have Brooke, my sister, with Jaycee and they are totally rockin' out baby!! lol. And of course Rock Princess Baylee rockin' out in her leotard on Christmas morning. These are the best times!

And there was Matt ...umm..and Ryan. Don't even ask. There two were switching back and forth all night as to who gets to wear which hat. You can kid of see that Matt autographed it by the end of the night and it now resides in the bar at the farm for all to enjoy. I swear these silly rednecks!!!!! LOL

So we had a party at the Barnes family farm out by Merkel for New Years. My friend Chandy was with us. She saw this horse in Cash's room and HAD to get a picture of her on it. The best part of all this is that she doesn't drink so she has no good reason for being so goofy. I love her anyways though.

Ahh. The kisses of the evening. Well. First you have my BFF Chandy who was without a date so I let her "borrow" mine for a second when it was time. Then of course there is myself and my husband who took this awful sombrero to the party. And lastly Chandy managed to catch a sweet little moment at some point during the night between my hubby and I. Awwww. I know some people would think it's strange that I let my friend smooch my hubby but hey it I was single on New Year's and there weren't any single guys I'd expect a girlfriend to help me out. Besides she's cracking up in the picture it was truly hilarious!!!

Nothing Exciting

Sorry you guys there just hasn't really been anything too terribly special going on. Although, I got baptized last Sunday. It was great! My friend, Samie, and my crew went to Austin for the week after that. Yeah, we had fun...did a little shoppin'...hehe. Jaycee has been sick for what seems like FOREVER!! But, she's finally getting better. I think that's really it. Maybe next time I'll have something more important to tell.

Sleepover !!

Baylee had her first sleepover and boy was that interesting ! We stayed the night at my friend, Samie's, house. Her granddaughter, Addison, is 4. They played and watched movies like there was no tomorrow. I snapped this during the brief time Baylee would keep her clothes on. The child loves to be naked what can I say. All was great until bedtime. She wanted her bed so I had to hold her to sleep and she still ended up in bed with me. It was a blast except for the fact that Jaycee had fever and come to find out an ear infection. Everyone's better now and we can't wait 'til the next time.

Hot Air.....

We went to the hot air balloon festival last weekend. Baylee thought it was cool. I like to go because we always run into friends we haven't seen in a while.

We all went up for a ride too! It was awesome. The girls just looked around as if they were lost for a minute.LOL.

Well. We all love milestones and Jaycee has finally made another one. She figured out how to sit up all by herself on the 13th. She loves it! She'll sit in the floor for hours just talking and playing with her toys.

We went and saw Elmo Makes Music a couple of weeks ago. It was My whole family and Sydnee and SanDee. We had fun. The girls just danced their little hearts away. Jaycee was the funniest. She nearly climbed out of Matt's lap trying to get down to the stage !

We are the Barnes family. Matt, Ashley, Baylee & Jaycee. Matt and I were married in April of 2004 and started our family two years later with the arrival of Princess Baylee. She's definitely giving me a run for my money. We then decided to add to our little threesome and in March of this year Little Miss Jaycee Lynn made her debut. We are happy now. Wouldn't have it any other way. Two giggly little girls. We broke tradition but oh well God knows what he's doing. Boys are too rowdy anyway...haha.
